Malaysia 1-3

Malaysia issued a set of three stamps with the same design for the inauguration of the Federation in 1963. The design showed a map of the new nation. There are two errors on the stamps. The first is that the sun shining on the new country is shining out of the north.
Barbara McTaggart, in her 1998 article in Gibbons Stamp Magazine, says that the map "...shows Brunei, but the 'fingers' of land are larger than those on the 1961 North Borneo map."
On the map the 'fingers' extend half way across the island of Borneo, while they really extend only about 1/5th of the distance across.
