Yaroslav the Wise Muidry (978-1054) succeeded his father, Prince Vladimir as Grand Duke of Kiev. Yaroslav's most valuable contribution to the development of the Rus was the Russkaya Pravda, "Russian Truth," the first book of laws among the Eastern Slavs. "Russian Truth" continued to develop until the 14th century.
