     The stamp was issued by the Democratic Republic of Malagasy in 1982 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the O.P.F. (Organization Panafricaine des Femmes), the Pan African Women's Organization, in 1962 by the United Nations. The design shows a woman's head with her hair in the shape of a map of the African continent.
