The oldest preserved Croatian text written in Latin script, is “The Order and Law” of Dominicans in Zadar. The book was written in 1345. The stamp was issued to mark the 600th anniversary of the beginning of higher education in Croatia where the first public schools in Croatia were founded in Zadar in 1282.
