In 1983 Indonesia issued a set of two stamps showing maps with the total eclipse that occurred on June 11. The legend on both stamps, “Gerhana Matahari Total” is Indonesian for “Total Solar Eclipse,” which also appears on the stamps in English.
     Both stamps show the path of the eclipse across Indonesia. The lower value also shows a picture of the eclipsed sun.

     The band of totality was 11,900 km, and the duration of totality was 5.25 minutes.
