Fiji 210
To commemorate the first Airmail service between Tonga and Fiji, Fiji
issued a set of three stamps. The high value shows a map of the
islands with coordinate lines. The coordinates of Suva the capitol,
are 18.08 S 178.25 W, which fits well with the coordinates on the map.
The plane is a De Havilland 114-13 Heron named "Aotearoa" which began
serving the Fiji-Tonga route in August of 1952.
Fiji B7-B10
A set of four stamps issued by Fiji in
1979 marks the International Year of the Child with children of
various ethnicities on a background of a shaded relief map of Viti
Levu and Vanua Levu. The coordinates that cross on Viti Levu (the
southern islands) are 178°E and 18°S.
