 United States 795

According to Jean-Pierre Mangin, Guide Mondial des Timbres Erronés, p. 219, the territory labled "Territory Southwest of the Ohio" should properly be "Territory South of the Ohio River."
The stamp design is based on "The Northwestern Territory and the Territory Southwest of the Ohio River" in Foster's Forty Maps Illustrating United States History, published in Topeka, Kansas in 1905. The map in the copy of the book I checked identifies the area as the "Terr. Southwest of the Ohio," so the stamp is a correct representation of this map and not an error.
