Aslak Hartviktsson Bolt
(ca. 1375-ca. 1450) was Bishop of Oslo in 1407. In 1408 he exchanaged
Sees with Bishop Jakob Knutsson of Bergen. In 1430 he was translated
to Nidaros (Trondheim) as Archbishop.
Aslak Bolt's Bible is hand-written in a beautifully
illuminated script. It dates from the mid-eleventh century. It is
preserved in the Deichmanske Bibliotek in Oslo.
