     This United Nations stamp was issued in 1968 to commemorate the World Weather Watch program of the U.N. World Weather Watch was established in 1963 by the World Meteorological Organization, an agency of the United Nations.
     The map on the stamp is a polar aspect azimuthal projection that appears to be based on a projection developed by the National Snow and Ice Center.
