Rabbi Pinie (Phineas) lived in Safed, Palestine, in the 19th century. He drew panoramic views of the Holy Land, titled in Hebrew and German. The stamp in the center of the Souvenir sheet shows a view of Jerusalem from a map of the Holy Land by Rabbi Pinie. The souvenir sheet issued in 1995, commemorates the three thousandth anniversary of the City of David.
