The disputed areas presumably are the pink or
red areas at the top and bottom of the map. In the settlement Peru
ceded the areas to Brazil. However, I was unable to find a description
of the problems in those areas.
Letíicia, Colombia is a few miles north of
the very southern-most point where Peru, Colombia and Brazil meet. A
long standing border dispute involving Leticia, between Colombia and
Peru, was decided in 1934 by the League of Nations.
