Ulrich von Liechtenstein ~ 13the century

     Ulrich von Liechtenstein was born around 1200 and died in 1275. In addition to being a minnesinger he wrote an autobiographical verse novel, Frauendienst.

Heinrich von Veldig ~ 12th century

     Heinrich von Veldig liven in the second half of the twelfth century. He came from Maasland region of Belgium. He wrote a novel about Aeneas called Eineide.

Der Tannhäuser ~ 13th century

     Der Tannhäuser was probably a crusader. According to Wagner's opera he participated in a singing contest at the Wartburg. Sixteen of his lyrics are known.
