This stamp features an interrupted sinusoidal
projection with a shape very much like that of the previous stamp
(UN 125). It is a composite projection with several sinusoidal maps
based on different central meridians pieced together to obtain a map
of the whole world. Each lobe has its own central meridian, so there
is less distortion of shapes and angles because all regions are
relatively close to a central meridian.
The stamp was issued by Liberia in 1980 to commemorate
the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and includes the UN
logo or emblem with a polar projection of the earth.
