Kingdoms of Benguela and Angola
The stamp issued in 1967
to mark the 350th anniversary of the founding of Sao Felipe de
Benguela in 1617 by Manuel Cerveira Pereira shows a map of the
kingdoms of Angola and Benguela in the 17th century. Anonymous,

Portuguese Republic of Angola
In 1955 the Portuguese Republic
of Angola issued a set of eight stamps with the same map of Angola.
The map includes Portuguese Congo as the northern-most district of the
Portuguese Angola Colony on the southwest coast of Africa, with the
name Cabaņa, after its capitol. In 1975 the colony gained its
independence.
