     The souvenir sheet issued by St. Kitts features two stamps with portraits of Amerigo Vespucci, the upper one as a young man, the lower one as an older man, and a stamp with a portion of Martin Waldseemüller's 1505 map (from the medallion at the top of the map(. The large picture on the left was in Vespucci's description also published in 1505, of his journeys in the new world.
