The country of Timor is at
the East end of the island of Timor in the Malay archipelago. It was
governed by the Portuguese until it was annexed by Indonesia in 1976.
It gained its independence in 2000. Latitude and longitude are
indicated in very light print.

bicentenary of Dili as the capital of Timor. The stamp was
issued in honor of the second centenary of Dilli as the capital.
