Suriname to the Netherlands

     The stamps are part of a set issued in observance of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of regular steamer connection between the Netherlands and Surinam.
     The 30c value shows a chart of the Atlantic Ocean showing the sea route between Surinam and the Netherlands.
     The 60c value shows a map of the harbor of Paramaribo, the point of origin of the ships sailing to the Netherlands.

New Zealand to England

The map stamp of New Zealand was issued in 1949 as part of a set commemorating 100 years of British sovereignty established by the treaty of Waitangi between the British and the Maori. It shows the route of the ship, Dunedin carrying the first shipment of frozen mutton to England in 1882.
