To mark ten years of Antarctic cartography
Bulgaria issued a souvenir sheet in 2005 featuring a topographic map
of Livingston and Greenwich Islands in the South Shetland Islands.
The pictures on the souvenir sheet from the top, left
are: Ongal Peak in Levski Ridge, Tangra Mountains; a view of the Zemen
Knadl; the building at St. Klimint Ohridski at Emona Anchorage, South
Bay; Atanasoff Nunatak; and a view from Zeman Knadl toward Kaliakra
Glacier.
The sextant is from the 19th century and refers to the
history of Livingston Island as the first land discovered south of
60°S. The coordinates for Livingston Island are 62°39´S 60°23´W.
