Oltre Giuba (Italian
Jubaland) is a strip of land 50 to 100 miles in width, west of the
Juba River in East Africa. I was ceded to Italy by Great Britain in
1924. Oltre Giuba was incorporated into Italian Somaliland on July 1
that year, and stamps for Oltre Giuba were discontinued. In 1936 it
became part of Italian East Africa.
A set of stamps with a map of Oltre Giuba was issued in
April 1926. Only one stamp of the set is shown.
