PRC 169
The People’s Republic of China issued a four
stamp set in 1952 to mark the Peace Conference of the Asian and
Pacific Regions. One of the stamps has a design that includes a globe
and two doves. The globe is an oblique orthographic projection showing
Asia, Alaska and the west coast of the Americas at about 45°.
There are some errors that reflect bad drawing.
Australia is not rotated so it is out of alignment with the rest of
the globe. Hawaii is missing, and South America is too far west.
