Sometime between June and September 1979 Afghanistan issued this stamp showing doves circling a globe showing Eurasia and part of Africa.
     The map is very poorly drawn. The Arabian peninsula is omitted, so the Mediterranean Sea appears to blend into the Persian Gulf and Italy is missing. Malaysia is too fat, the islands of Indonesia are badly drawn, Borneo has displaced Sumatra and Taiwan and the Philippines are missing. Although the map of Eurasia appears to be on a globe, the shape of the map is that of a flat map.
