Rwanda 1-8

     The Belgian colony of Ruanda-Urundi became independent in 1962 as two new countries, Rwanda and Burundi. The first stamps issued by Rwanda showed the continent of Africa with a silhouette map of ... Burundi! There were eight stamps in the set, all with the same error. One stamp is shown.

     I had indicated tht I thought Another error is the spelling of "Independence." However it has been pointed out to me that "independance" with an "a" is the proper spelling in French which is the the language of the stamp. So, no error! Thank you Eric Morier-Genaud.
