     Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, architect, and scientist. About 1512 he drew a portrait on paper with red chalk. It is generally accepted that it is a self-portrait which he drew a few years before his death. The drawing is preserved in the Biblioteca Reale in Turin, Italy.
