This is An Accurate Chart of Cape de Verd Islands being an improvement of Captⁿ Roberts's Draught. Some time after the map was published in the 18th century Thomas Kitchen (1718-1784) published a version which also claimed to have "corrected and improved" Captain Roberts' map. I have not been able to identify Captain Roberts further, nor the date of the first publication of the map.

     Fielding Lucas, Jr. (1781-1854) was a cartographer, artist, and publisher in Baltimore in the early 19th century. This map, Cape Verde I^ds., was published by him and printed by B.T. Welch & Co. in 1823.
